Which exam for which goal?
The usual level and the exams accepted for it. The exact requirement is always set by the office that asks for the certificate.

University study
Usually C1
When in doubt, ask your university: its admission rules list the certificates it accepts.
Medical licence (Approbation)
General B2, then the medical FSP (C1)
Ask your medical chamber (Ärztekammer): it sets the FSP and names the B2 certificate it wants.
Work and recognition
Usually B1 or B2
Ask your employer or the recognition office: they set the level.
Residence and citizenship
A1 for spouse reunification, B1 for settlement and citizenship
Ask your immigration office (Ausländerbehörde) what applies to you.
How our tasks are made
- The structure comes from the published model tests and exam regulations, each with the date we read it.
- We write the texts and tasks ourselves. No awarding body's exam text is reproduced.
- Every figure on this page and in every booklet carries its source and date.

Included
Every part the real booklet prints, the clock and the task bar as in the exam, and marking with a source for every piece of feedback.
Not included
No course, no lessons, no subscription, and no registration for the real exam. That goes through the awarding body or your chamber.
Five questions that matter before you buy.
Is this the real exam?
No. It reproduces the format: structure, order and timings as in the original; the texts and tasks are written by us. Every cover page says so.
Do you register me for the exam?
No. You register with telc, the Goethe-Institut, your university, g.a.s.t. or your medical chamber. We are not an exam centre.
What does it cost?
A level costs €29.90 and opens every exam at that level, for example telc, Goethe, ÖSD and DTB at B1, for 90 days. One chamber of the medical FSP costs €89.00. Paid once, no subscription. A further level costs less, as does a second chamber; the price is shown at checkout.
What happens after I pay?
Access starts at once. For a general exam it lasts 90 days, for the level you bought. For an FSP chamber it does not expire. Your results and analysis stay readable either way.
Is the exam in English?
No. These pages are in English so you can find your way, but once you press start, everything is in German, exactly as in the real exam. That is what you are preparing for.
