How our articles are made
Who writes them
The articles are written by the team behind this practice site. We build mock exams for 28 German exams in the format of the real booklets, from telc, Goethe, ÖSD and TestDaF to the DSH and the medical FSP for doctors. To do that, we read the awarding bodies' model tests, exam regulations and marking sheets part by part.
Where the facts come from
Timings, points, pass marks and procedures come from the awarding bodies' own documents: the published model tests, the exam regulations, the pages of the medical chambers and of the BAMF. Every source is listed under the article, with the day we read it.
We never publish an awarding body's exam texts or reports from real exams. If we cannot source something, we do not write it.
How AI helps
We write the articles with the help of AI. It helps with research, structure and wording. Every figure and every rule is checked against the awarding bodies' documents before an article is published, and the source is given.
Why
So that you know what your exam expects, and can practise for it. Which exam and which level you need is always decided by the office that asks for the certificate: the authority, the university, the employer or the medical chamber.
Mistakes and updates
When an awarding body changes a rule, we update the articles it affects and show the date of the update. If you notice a mistake, we are grateful for every hint.
